Overview of the page elements

Let's take a closer look at the special page "Bibliography". I assume that use the "monobook" skin, so at the left side of the page is the sidebar.
- A — You can use Bibwiki to manage a bunch of bibliography files. All files in the folder
$wgBibPathwhose filename ends with '.bib' are listed here. Click on a filename to open it. - B — This links provide some useful tools.
- C — Use this links to create new entries and enter the data by hand.
- D — Here you can import data from various sources into your bibliography.
- F — The tabs on the top of the page give you access to several functions.
- G — If you are looking for a specific entry or a group of entries tagged with a specific keyword, type the search term in this input field and press <Enter>. You can also type several terms. Then you will only see those bibliographic entries that contain all search terms. Click on the filename to remove a search term and jump to the beginning of the bibliography.
- H — As you can see on the red colored bibliographic key
Norris:1999, there's no Mediawiki page with that name. If you want to write some thoughts on that book down, click on the key to create a new page with the nameKnuth:1986.- Click
[edit]to alter a bibliographic entry. - If you want to delete a bibliographic entry, click
[edit], delete the content of the input field and clickSave. - Click
[export]to export a specific entry.

- I — An ISBN Number has some useful links on its side. You can customize these links by changing
$wgISBNLinkTagsin your library settings file
(libs/<Library settings>.php). - Bibwiki tries to download the book cover from Amazon if a bibliography record has an ISBN. To enable this feature you have to provide an Amazon Access Key via
$accesskeyinBibwikiSettings.php. You can get a free access key from Amazon Web Services. If you dislike the book covers, set$wgFetchAndViewBookCoversinBibwikiSettings.phptofalse.
